Mother tongue

I am a product of many cultures- the Bengali culture I inherited and learned from my freedom-loving mother and hot-headed but genius father, the Marathi culture I was surrounded with living in Mumbai, the French culture that I observed and truly lived for three years of my childhood and the countless cultures I have read and assimilated obsessively.

But I wonder what is my mother tongue. By definition, it should be the language that I was taught by my mother. But I think and reason in English, pray to God in Marathi, and find myself talking to cats and babies in Bengali, so what is my mother tongue then?
